- single vineyard fruit from Vineyard located near the town of Frankland and one of the most awarded vineyards in the state
- fermented in red fermenter and pumped over for a period of 10 days
- 35% new oak, combination of French, American and Hungarian oak barrels
- wine matured for 14 months in barrel
- deep dark crimson colour
- bright lifted perfume of black and briary fruits (blackberries, mulberries), forest floor earthiness, white pepper and subtle smoky oak overtones
- the fruit is cradled by the oak, the oak was chosen to respect and highlight the fruit
- a rich palate of black fruits, sweet spice, dark chocolate, liquorice strap tang and saltiness, firm but finely structured tannins, all cradled and supported by fine dusty oak
